Movement competence, body awareness, and posture act as key components to the program acting as the foundation to physical literacy. Correct posture when performing squats, hinges, and landing are critical for preventing injuries and increasing performance as well as acting as exciting training movements. Other components of the program this fall include arm care, strength training, and speed development, and throughout the fall measurements for power, speed, and strength will be assessed to monitor progress. Our final objective this fall is creating a positive experience with exercise and the development of self-efficacy towards training. When people feel confident in their ability to train, they are more likely to do it so we can develop active people for life!
